Welcome to Bhutan – The Last Shangri-La
Tucked high in the Eastern Himalayas, Bhutan is a kingdom unlike any other — where Gross National Happiness guides national policy, ancient monasteries cling to cliffsides, and the air hums with a quiet reverence for nature and spirit. Here, tradition and simplicity hold deep value, and life unfolds at a sacred pace.

During our journey, we’ll weave the inner practices of yoga, meditation, and mindfulness with the outer exploration of Bhutan’s breathtaking landscapes, spiritual heritage, and vibrant culture. A special highlight is our time in Thimphu during the Tshechu Festival — a sacred celebration of music, masked dances, and deep devotion — offering a rare window into the soul of Bhutanese life.

This retreat is an invitation to move, breathe, and awaken — immersed in a land where the sacred is still alive in every stone, prayer flag, and mountain breeze.

WHO ?

Our journey through Bhutan is lovingly supported by Bhutan Essence, a family-run travel agency led by Adrian and Irja, a German couple who have called Bhutan home for over 12 years. Together with their three children, they’ll be with us throughout the retreat — offering logistical support, heartfelt guidance, and a deep, lived connection to the land and its people.

From securing your visa and Sustainable Development Fee to accompanying us each day, their presence ensures a seamless and soulful experience.

Irja, a documentary filmmaker, brings a rare perspective shaped by years of capturing Bhutan’s untold stories. Her insight offers a deeper view of the country — one rooted in culture, spirit, and lived experience. Adrian brings calm expertise and warmth, guiding us with ease and care.

With the whole family joining us for the full 10 days, this journey becomes not just a retreat, but a shared experience of connection, presence, and belonging.

We are delighted to welcome Prianca Shharma as the yoga and meditation teacher for SOULSCAPE, our upcoming retreat in the serene landscapes of Bhutan. Based in Goa, India, Prianca brings over a decade of experience and a deeply intuitive approach to healing and self-discovery.

Her offerings weave together Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Yin Yoga with meditation practices inspired by time spent in Buddhist monasteries. Rooted in her own journey of transformation—from emotional turbulence to inner balance—Prianca’s teachings emphasize mindful living, self-inquiry, and lasting tools for everyday life.

Known for her warm, compassionate presence, Prianca creates a safe space where students can reconnect with themselves and explore the deeper layers of their being. She will be joined in Bhutan by her family, embodying the spirit of integration, balance, and community that SOULSCAPE celebrates.
